Nissan Rogue (T33) 2021-Present Owner’s Manual & User Guide: System temporarily unavailable

Condition A

Under the following circumstances, the AEB system OFF warning light will illuminate, and the “Forward Driving Aids temporarily disabled — Front Camera blocked — See Owner's Manual” message will appear. The system will automatically turn off:

Action to take:

Ensure the windshield is clean and free of fog, ice, or debris in front of the camera.

If needed, activate the Max defogging/defrosting feature or windshield deicer (if equipped). Clearing may take several minutes.

Once the obstruction is removed, the AEB with Pedestrian Detection system on the Nissan Rogue will resume automatically.

Condition B

In the following situations, the AEB system OFF warning light illuminates and the “Driving Aids Temporarily limited — Poor Visibility” message appears:

Action to take:

Once these conditions clear, the AEB with Pedestrian Detection system will automatically resume normal operation.

Condition C

In this condition, the AEB system OFF warning light illuminates, and the message “Driving Aids temporarily limited — Front Camera Too Hot” appears in the vehicle information display.

Action to take:

After the interior temperature is reduced, the AEB with Pedestrian Detection system will automatically resume.

Condition D

The AEB system OFF warning light will illuminate and a “Driving Aids temporarily limited” message will appear under the following circumstances:

Action to take:

When these conditions are no longer present, the AEB with Pedestrian Detection system will resume automatically.

Condition E

If the AEB system OFF warning light illuminates and “Driving Aids Temporarily limited — Radar interference” appears, the cause is typically:

Action to take:

When the interference is no longer detected, the AEB with Pedestrian Detection system resumes automatically.

Condition F

If the AEB system OFF warning light comes on and the message “Forward Driving Aids temporarily disabled — Front Sensor blocked” is displayed, the following condition is likely:

Action to take:

Safely stop the Nissan Rogue, turn the engine off, and clean the radar cover with a soft cloth. Restart the engine afterward. If the warning persists, have the system inspected by a NISSAN dealer.

Action to take:

Once these environmental conditions change, the AEB with Pedestrian Detection system will resume automatically.

Condition G

If the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system is turned OFF, the AEB braking function will not operate. Only the visual and audible alerts will remain active. The AEB system OFF light (orange) illuminates along with the “Limited driver’s aid — VDC setting OFF” message.

Action to take:

Turn the VDC system back ON, and the AEB with Pedestrian Detection system will resume automatically.

System malfunction

If the AEB with Pedestrian Detection system malfunctions, it will switch off automatically. A chime sounds, the AEB system OFF warning light (orange) illuminates, and the message “Malfunction — See Owner’s Manual” appears in the vehicle information display.

Action to take:

If the warning remains after restarting the Nissan Rogue, have the system inspected by a NISSAN dealer.

The radar sensor (B) is mounted at the front of the Nissan Rogue, and the camera (A) is positioned on the upper windshield.
