Cruise control communication

(Adaptive Cruise Control CAN wheel speed information unavailable or absent) 		Diagnosis condition Ignition switch ON
Signal CAN communication signal
Threshold Abnormalities in each of the wheel rotation sensor signals that is received from VDC unit detected.
Diagnosis delay time 2 seconds

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Harness or connectors (The CAN communication line is open or shorted.)

  • ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)

FAIL-SAFE

Engine Control System

Cruise control (ProPILOT Assist 1.1/ProPILOT Assist 2.1) operation prohibited

Stop/Start System

Not applicable

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PRECONDITIONING

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.

  1. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

  2. Ignition switch ON.

  3. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

TEST CONDITION:

Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is between more than 11 V at idle.

GO TO 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds.

  2. Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

PERFORM VDC DIAGNOSIS

Perform VDC diagnosis. Refer to DTC Index.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

VDC repair performed first.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT

Perform the trouble diagnosis for CAN communication system. Refer to Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Check intermittent incident. Rerer to Intermittent Incident.

NO>>

Repair or replace damaged parts.
