Component Function Check

CHECK FRONT WIPER AUTO OPERATION

  1. Clean the rain and light sensor detection area of windshield fully.

  2. When the front wiper switch is turned to AUTO position, front wiper operates once regardless of a rainy condition.

Is front wiper (AUTO) operation normal?

YES>>

Rain and light sensor is normal.

NO>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK FUSE

Location Fuse No. Capacity
Fuse block (J/B) 31 15 A

Is the fuse blown (open)?

YES>>

Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK RAIN AND LIGHT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK RAIN AND LIGHT SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK RAIN AND LIGHT SENSOR LIN CIRCUIT

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 5.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace rain and light sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>
