B2909-12 Slope Sensor Diagnosis condition When the ignition switch is ON.
Signal (terminal) Thigh Support Motor (terminal #3)
Threshold Short circuit to power supply
Diagnosis delay time 100 mili- seconds or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • LH thigh support motor

  • Driver seat control unit

  • Harness and connectors

FAIL-SAFE

Stop automatic drive position function.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Ignition switch ON and wait for 20 seconds or more.

  2. Check “Self diagnosis result” mode of “DRIVER SEAT”.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK THIGH SUPPORT MOTOR SENSOR SIGNAL

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect driver seat control unit and LH thigh support motor.

  3. Check voltage between driver seat control unit harness connector and ground.

Driver seat control unit
Connector Terminal
B213 15 Ground 0 V

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Connect driver seat control unit and LH sliding motor. Refer to Component Function Check.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.
