Diagnosis delay time 1.5 seconds or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Harness or connectors (rear seat heater LH ground circuit is open)

  • Seat cushion heater LH

  • Rear seat back heater LH

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

CONSULT

  1. Start the engine.

  2. Select “Self diagnosis result” mode of “HVAC”.

Is DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK REAR SEAT HEATER LH GROUND CIRCUIT (OPEN)

  1. Ignition switch OFF.

  2. Disconnect rear seat heater LH connector.

  3. Check continuity between rear seat heater LH harness connector and ground.

    Rear seat heater LH — Continuity
    Connector Terminal
    B405 2 Ground Yes

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK REAR SEAT BACK HEATER LH CIRCUIT (OPEN)

Check continuity between rear seat back heater LH harness connector and rear seat heater LH harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Replace seat cushion heater LH. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.

CHECK REAR SEAT BACK HEATER LH GROUND CIRCUIT (OPEN)

  1. Disconnect rear seat back heater LH connector.

  2. Check continuity between rear seat back heater LH harness connector and rear seat heater LH harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace rear seat back heater LH. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.

NO>>
