Diagnosis Description

APPLICATION ITEMS

CONSULT performs the following functions via CAN communication using front camera unit.

Diagnosis mode Description
Self Diagnostic Result Retrieve DTC from ECU and display diagnostic items
Data Monitor Monitor the input/output signal of the control unit in real time
Work Support This mode enables a technician to adjust some devices faster and more accurately
ECU Identification Display the ECU identification number (part number etc.) of the selected system
Replace ECU The Nissan Ariya vehicle specification can be written when the control unit is replaced

SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT

FREEZE FRAME DATA (FFD)

Front camera unit records the following vehicle condition at the time a particular DTC is detected, and displays on CONSULT.

WORK SUPPORT

Work support items Description
AUTO AIM Outputs camera unit, calculates dislocation of the camera, and displays adjustment direction.

NOTE:

The item is indicated, but not used
CAUSE OF AUTO-CANCEL Displays the cause of the front camera being temporarily disabled

  • Perform "Self Diagnosis Result" With CONSULT.

  • If any DTC is detected, perform diagnosis procedure and replace or repair malfunction parts. Refer to DTC Index.
Front camera mis-alignment The front camera unit detected a temporary misalignment Check front camera install condition. Refer to Work Procedure.
Front camera unit out of focus The front camera unit detected a temporary out-of-focus Check front camera install condition. Refer to Work Procedure.
Front camera foreign object adhesion The front camera unit detected a temporary foreign object adhesion Check the surface of the front camera unit (windshield) for foreign object and dirt
Poor visibility of front camera (backlight) The front camera unit detected temporary poor visibility due to backlighting, etc. Check the surface of the front camera unit (windshield) for foreign object and dirt
Poor visibility of front camera (weather) The front camera unit detected a temporary poor visibility due to weather conditions, etc. Check the surface of the front camera unit (windshield) for foreign object and dirt
poor visibility of front camera (other factors) The front camera unit detected a temporary poor visibility due to dirt on the windshield or other environmental factors Check the surface of the front camera unit (windshield) for foreign object and dirt
CAN communication error (ADAS C/U) The front camera unit was temporarily unable to receive CAN communication signals from the ADAS control unit 2.

  • Perform "Self Diagnosis Result" with CONSULT.

  • If any DTC is detected, perform diagnosis procedure and replace or repar malfunction parts. Refer to DTC Index.
CAN communication error (TCM) The front camera unit was temporarily unable to receive CAN communication signals from the TCM
CAN communication error (BCM) The front camera unit was temporarily unable to receive CAN communication signals from the BCM
