Nissan Rogue (T33) 2021-Present Owner’s Manual & User Guide: Brake fluid

For more information on brake fluid type and capacity, refer to “Capacities and recommended fluids/lubricants”.

WARNING

  • Always use new brake fluid from a sealed container. Contaminated, old, or poor-quality fluid may damage the brake system and reduce stopping performance.
  • Clean the filler cap before removing it.
  • Brake fluid is toxic and must be stored in properly marked containers and kept away from children.

CAUTION

Do not spill fluid on painted surfaces — it will damage the finish. Rinse immediately with water if contact occurs.

Nissan Rogue brake fluid reservoir

Check the fluid level in the reservoir. If it is below the MIN line 2 or if the brake warning light illuminates, add Genuine NISSAN Super Heavy Duty Brake Fluid or equivalent DOT 3 fluid up to the MAX line 1. Have the system inspected by a NISSAN dealer as soon as possible. Frequent fluid loss indicates the need for immediate service.

For proper diagnosis and repair, it is recommended you visit a NISSAN dealer.
