The following are approximate capacities for your Nissan Rogue.

Actual refill capacities may vary slightly. When refilling, always follow the procedure described in the "8. Do-it-yourself" section to confirm the proper amount for your Nissan Rogue.

Fuel

Engine oil

Drain and refill

  • Genuine "NISSAN Motor Oil 0W-20 SP" (or equivalent) is recommended.
  • If the above motor oil (or engine oil) is not available, a synthetic 0W-20 GF-6A SP motor oil (or engine oil) may be used. Damage caused by the use of motor oil (or engine oil) other than as recommended is not covered under NISSAN's New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Engine coolant

  • Pre-diluted Genuine NISSAN Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant (blue) or equivalent

Intercooler coolant

  • Pre-diluted Genuine NISSAN Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant (blue) or equivalent

Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) fluid

  • Genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-3
  • NISSAN recommends using Genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-3 (or equivalent) ONLY in NISSAN CVTs. Do not mix with other fluids. Using fluids that are not equivalent to Genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-3 may damage the CVT.

Damage caused by the use of fluids other than as recommended is not covered under NISSAN's New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Differential gear oil

  • Genuine NISSAN HYPOID FLUID·S1 GL-5 75W-80 or an equivalent product suitable for maintaining the performance of your Nissan Rogue.

Transfer fluid

  • Genuine NISSAN Differential Oil Hypoid Super-S GL-5 synthetic 75W-90 or an equivalent lubricant recommended for long-term reliability of the Nissan Rogue drivetrain.

Brake fluid

  • Genuine NISSAN Super Heavy Duty Brake Fluid* or equivalent DOT 3, helping ensure consistent braking performance on your Nissan Rogue. *Available in mainland U.S.A. through NISSAN dealers.
  • Never mix different types of fluids.
  • Refill to the proper oil level by following the instructions in the "8. Do-it-yourself" section.

Multi-purpose grease

  • NLGI No. 2 (Lithium soap base), commonly used for key lubrication points across the Nissan Rogue’s moving components.

Air conditioning system refrigerant

  • See "Vehicle identification" for the air conditioner specification label.
  • HFO-1234yf (R-1234yf)

Air conditioning system oil

  • See "Vehicle identification" for air conditioner specification label.
  • A/C System Oil ND-OIL12 (PAG) or equivalent for maintaining cooling efficiency in the Nissan Rogue.

Window washer fluid

  • Genuine NISSAN Windshield Washer Concentrate Cleaner & Antifreeze or equivalent, ensuring clear visibility for your Nissan Rogue in various weather conditions.

Coupling oil

  • Genuine NISSAN LSC Coupling Transmission Fluid 12-301 or an equivalent fluid suitable for AWD-equipped Nissan Rogue models.
