B2723-97

CORNER SENSOR [RR]

(Corner sensor [RR])
Diagnosis condition When ignition switch is ON
Signal (terminal)
Threshold The sonar sensor is covered with ice or mud
Diagnosis delay time 4 seconds or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • The sonar sensor is covered with ice or mud

  • Rear sonar sensor RH outer

FAIL-SAFE

Stop the obstacle detection function

CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT

  1. Turn ignition switch ON.

  2. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

  3. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.

  4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “SONAR” using CONSULT.

  5. Check the DTC.

Is DTC “B2723–97” detected?

YES>>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK SONAR SENSOR

Make sure the sonar sensor is not covered with snow or mud.

Is the sonar sensor covered with ice or mud?

YES>>

Clean the sonar sensor.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE AGAIN

With CONSULT

  1. Turn ignition switch ON.

  2. Erase DTC.

  3. Perform DTC confirmation procedure again. Refer to DTC Description.

Is DTC B2723-97 detected again?

YES>>

Replace the rear sonar sensor RH outer. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

INSPECTION END
